Hello 2022 - Affirmation cards to start my New Year

If you know me well you’ll know that I’m having what I’m coining a “spiritual awakening”

I’ve always been a deeply spiritual person but over the past few years I’ve taken a deep dive into my menstrual cycle and how it affects all aspects of my life and that has led to an even deeper fascination with our connection not just to ourselves and each other but to the world around us and our enigmatic mama moon.

I’ve recently started setting intentions and letting go of bullsh*t guided by the lunar cycles and my god has it really shaken things up for me!

I want to share more on that later this month but for now, I’m taking inspiration from one of my mentors and pulling some moon and star cards for us all to start the year.

If they speak to you then roll with it, if they don’t that’s all good too. It really doesn’t matter whether you buy into it or not, all that matters is the power of affirmation and reflection and if that can bring support to your life right now then join me as I’m jumping in with both feet!

Card 1 - The great severing

Soften to love

This card calls on you firstly, to acknowledge the painful, difficult emotions, conflicts, wounds and fears that are causing you pain and anxiety and secondly to make your way back to love. When fear, anxiety and paranoia paralyse you, it’s normal to want to hide away from others and the world. Come out of your cave and soften your heart anyway. Find a way to love for others and especially yourself.

Affirmation card 1

Questions to ask

How am I cutting myself off from love?

How can I soften towards those who have hurt me?

Card 2 - Forge don’t follow

Forge a new path, be the leader you wish you had

If you wait until the oath is paved you won’t be forging your own path and you’ll likely never take the first step. This card calls on you to use your unique voice and reminding you that there is no one on earth who comes close to possessing your unique combination of skills, gifts and life experience. Don’t look to others to work out your path, forge your own, do it for your daughter and the younger you, do it for those who will follow. Stand up for your passion and yourself.

Affirmation card 2

Questions to ask

How am I being called to lead rather than follow?

How can I be the leader I wish I had?

Card 3 - The golden children

inner child, innocence

This card can be a sign that you are being called to be a mother, father it nurture a child in some sense. You may be called to tend to your own inner child, a creative idea or a new beginning with sweet, tender love. To nurture and nourish it, to give it every chance to grow to adult hood. To see the world through the innocence of a child. To see yourself and others as innocent children and remember that deep down, everyone is trying their best and if they are treated with a tender heart, they’ll not harden as they journey through this great adventure called life.

Affirmation card 3

Questions to ask

How can I treat myself more tenderly?

How can I treat others more tenderly?

I LOVE that they all came out as “new beginnings” type cards. I hope they bring you some peace and positivity for this New Year ❤️💫
