What is the worst that can happen?

Hello friends,

It’s Monday Again and this week I want to share a little tip with you that gets me through periods of anxiety or when I’m struggling to make decisions.

I attribute this to why I am so adaptable and resilient, it’s a tool I’ve used a lot of the past few years when faced with so much uncertainty and having to pivot more times than I can count!

It’s a 5 step process based around the question of What’s the worst that could happen? I hope it’s useful for you.

1- Ask yourself, “What’s the worst that could happen?”

Really tune in with your worst-case scenario, write it all down, go deep, right to the bottom of your fear bucket and write it all down. ⁣⁣

2- How likely are these scenarios to happen?

Rate them on a scale of 1-10 of probability.⁣⁣ Be honest and don’t let fears or magical thinking get in the way.

3- How will you deal with them if they do?

Write down all of the things you could do to help you cope and manage with these scenarios. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

4- Flip the script- what’s the best possible outcome?

Write down everything that could happen based on your decision, go deep, right to the bottom of your dream bucket and write it all down. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

5- Reflect, read and notice.

Do the pros outweigh the cons and write down how you feel about it now. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

I’d love to know if it works for you or if you’ve used this practice before <3⁣
